Ralph E. Fleck, Jr., M.D., FAAOS
Dr. Fleck is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon. He is a graduate of the University of Cincinnati School of Medicine; served his surgical internship at Emory Hospital in Atlanta; served his surgical residency at the University of Cincinnati; and served his orthopaedic residency at Emory University. He was a flight surgeon for the United States Air Force.
Dr. Fleck moved to Carrollton, Georgia in 1977 and founded the Carrollton Orthopaedic Clinic. His desire was to offer patient services that were badly needed, as there were no orthopaedic specialists in the area at that time. He believed that the Clinic should always put the patient first in its practice. His vision has resulted in a continued growth of physicians, facilities and services throughout the years to meet the needs of the West Georgia area.
Dr. Fleck has worked diligently to improve the orthopaedic services at Tanner Medical Center and has seen the hospital grow to a state-of-the-art facility. In 2008, Dr. Fleck and his wife Susan were named honorary chairs for the Magnolia Ball, a major fund-raiser at Tanner Medical Foundation. They were honored for their long-time contribution to the Tanner Medical Center.
Dr. Fleck is a member of the American Medical Association, the Medical Association of Georgia, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Fleck is married with 3 grown children and has 6 grandchildren.
