Dr. Colpini was born in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania and received his B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania. He earned his M.D. degree from the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland and completed his internship and residency at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado. Dr. Colpini retired from the Army in 1998. During his career, he was Chief of Orthopaedics at Noble Army Hospital, Ft. McClellan, Alabama and Moncrief Army Hospital, Ft. Jackson, South Carolina. He retired as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Dr. Colpini enjoys all aspects of general orthopaedic care, but especially sports medicine, arthroscopy, and knee and shoulder disorders.
During his years in the military, Dr. Colpini saw the benefit of regular exercise programs and believes strongly that many musculoskeletal conditions can be treated effectively with a guided rehab program with surgery as only a last resort.
Dr. Colpini enjoys working with athletes and provides sideline coverage for local high school teams and the University of West Georgia.
Dr. Colpini is married with 3 children.
